Associate Editors
Journal of Service Theory and Practice (JSTP)
The Journal of Service Theory and Practice (JSTP) is one of the top ranked and long established journals in the field of service research (SCCI 4.9 and CiteScore 8.0, 2023) now in its 35th year of publication. The JSTP has been growing steadily over the years experiencing a very strong increase in the number and diversity of submissions. The journal attracts submissions from a wide multi-disciplinary group of scholars from around the world. The journal continuously strives to increase its appeal to an even greater international scholarly audience. With the increasing number of submissions, the need for maintaining quality standards becomes ever more important.
To further boost the progression of the JSTP, we are currently revising and restructuring its editorial team to better reflect the diversity of topics, disciplines and methodologies of service related research that the journal currently attracts. We are thus calling for expressions of interest for Associate Editors from suitably qualified and experienced colleagues.
Specifically, the chosen Associate Editors will possess expertise in a domain /topic within service research. Associate Editors are responsible for the attraction of submissions and the development of research in their specific area; Associate Editors are not directly involved in the paper reviewing process, but the Editors-in Chief will seek their advice on from time to time, e.g. propose expert reviewers or provide advice on specific submissions during the desk review process. The major role of Associate Editors is to identify areas of research within their specific area, promote and motivate research in this field, mentor and guide potential authors to conduct and submit research in their field to the JSTP. They will also be expected to undertake special issues within their specialized topic from time to time. Overall, Associate Editors will be the JSTP ambassadors for their specialization within service research.
The journal is committed to a broad range of service research topics including (but not limited) service marketing, service HRM, service operations, service information systems, transformative service research, service technologies, talent management in services, experience management, service design research. It publishes research that contributes to both theory and practice and encourages the submission of collaborative research undertaken between academia and industry. The journal is keen to promote interdisciplinary papers that are theoretically informed and that can contribute to improving practice.
