SERVSIG is run by a group of nominated volunteers that organize events and attempt to improve relationships among services researchers. The following list identifies our current SERVSIG board members and their responsibilities:

The Chair is responsible for coordinating with AMA on conferences and other events; budgeting and planning; advising and coordinating the activities of the other SERVSIG offices; creating committees for the awarding of SERVSIG’s Best Services Article and Career Contributions awards.

The Communications officer will be primarily responsible for communications with the SERVSIG membership, primarily through the creation of a SERVSIG newsletter, and working with the Social Media Manager to post news on the website.
Treasurer

The Treasurer is responsible for budgeting and planning in coordination with the SERVSIG co-chairs.
Education Officer

Sven Tuzovic
Queensland University of Technology
The Education officer is responsible for identifying and communicating with the SERVSIG community service teaching resources, service management programs, new service textbooks, online teaching resources and tools. The officer also updates the SERVSIG syllabus database, curates “short videos” for teaching purposes, organizes teaching-related workshops and facilitates service teaching material sharing and curation for the SERVSIG community (offline and online) among other teaching related activities.
Mentoring Officer

The Mentoring officer acts as informal advisor for PhD students and early career researchers. The officer may help in exploring careers, setting goals, developing contacts, and identifying resources. They serve as a point of contact for PhD students and early career researchers regarding questions about career development, job market, general advice about navigating academic life, etc. The mentoring officer may represent SERVSIG at various doctoral events as well as compile and share resources that are helpful for PhD students and early career researchers.
Doctoral Consortium Officers

The Doctoral Consortium officers are primarily responsible for coordinating (with the Mentoring-officer-elect) the SERVSIG Doctoral Consortium which, by tradition, is held immediately prior to the annual Frontiers in Services Conference.
Liaison Officer

The Liaison officer is primarily responsible for helping to coordinate special sessions on behalf of the SIG at Summer and Winter AMA conferences and other appropriate venues.
Social Impact Officer

The Social Impact Officer can help SERVSIG members create social impact in their research by providing guidance, resources, and support.
Global Outreach Officers

The Global outreach officers represents SERVSIG in local events, supports the service research community in their regional networks and acts as an additional local connection point for questions and requests in the area.
Engagement Officer

The Engagement Officer is responsible for designing new engagement initiatives and serving as a channel for other members’ initiatives to tighten and expand the community. The officer helps identify initiatives and potential collaboration opportunities with individuals and organizations that share SERVSIG’s values and objectives.

SERVSIG Technology Advisor

The SERVSIG Technology Advisor helps SERVSIG to stay up to date with their technical infrastructure and provide support for implementing new features on the digital channels.
