The Service Research Center, CTF in Karlstad had once again the great honor to host a network meeting for service researchers around the globe. It was an eventful two days that kept the 45 participants busy discussing how we should move the field forward and collaborate more.
The first part of the meeting was spent at debating how we should help the service journals and how the journals could help us as researchers. Among the topics that were discussed was how the process of publishing could be made faster and how an author could help the editor in selecting the appropriate reviewer. This was followed by an open call where the researchers could tell the audience what is going on at respectively university and if there is something that they wanted needed help to accomplish. This section will be made available through CTF’s youtube channel.
Next the event moved into work mode and focused on what all researchers really enjoy doing; discussing research! We had used participants from the network to prepare eight different research topics that is viewed as areas in need of research. The areas are listed below. The participants selected one area that interested them, with the task to develop a manuscript targeted the Journal of Business Research. This will help researchers in the network to continue and on-going collaboration and get to know each other much better.
