The Journal of Service Research is pleased to announce that Professor Michael Brady will be its next Editor, beginning June 1, 2017.  Brady will be JSR’s fifth Editor, following Roland Rust, Parsu Parasuraman, Kay Lemon and Mary Jo Bitner

Brady is the Carl DeSantis Professor and Chair of the Marketing Department at Florida State University.  He is a world-leading expert on frontline service transactions, customer satisfaction, and service employees, and is currently President of the American Marketing Association’s Academic Council. He will begin taking new manuscripts on April 1, 2017, and then he will assume all responsibilities from the current Editor, Mary Jo Bitner, on June 1, 2017. 

The Journal of Service Research, sponsored by the University of Maryland’s Center for Excellence in Service, and published by Sage Publications, Inc., is the world’s leading service research journal, by far the highest-cited journal in the service field, and the 23rd highest-cited journal out of 115 business journals listed in the Web of Science.
