A team of researchers at Fordham’s Marketing Area has launched a comprehensive guide to marketing careers. This resource offers a holistic overview of the diverse career domains within the field of marketing.
The research team used a ground-up approach to conduct an extensive study by monitoring the postings on major online job boards in the U.S. (between 2020 and 2021) and synthesizing the posted job titles and descriptions. The process was carried out in several rounds and new jobs were added or consolidated into existing roles. Nine primary domains were identified, and the most prevalent job positions within each domain were presented along with an overview.
