The International Research Symposium in Service Management (IRSSM) provides a global forum for scholars, researchers, and practitioners with a strong interest in social sciences and service management studies. IRSSM 14, with the theme “Rethinking Service Management in Emerging Economies: Sustainability, Digital, and Societal Impact,” aims to advance contemporary service research by critically examining how service systems evolve in emerging and developing economic contexts.
The symposium focuses on the dynamic interplay between sustainability imperatives, rapid digital transformation, and the societal role of services. In particular, IRSSM 14 invites scholarly contributions that rethink established service management theories by incorporating perspectives shaped by institutional complexity, resource constraints, technological acceleration, and inclusive growth agendas.
While submissions aligned with the main theme are especially encouraged, IRSSM 14 also welcomes high-quality conceptual and empirical research addressing a broad range of topics in service management. This openness reflects the symposium’s long-standing commitment to fostering diverse perspectives and stimulating meaningful academic dialogue across disciplines.
IRSSM 14 will be hosted by Ankara University, one of Türkiye’s leading and long-established research universities, internationally recognized for its strong tradition in social sciences, management studies, and interdisciplinary research.
