The 4th International Conference for Marketing in the Insurance industry (ICMI) serves as the primary platform to promote research in the field of insurance marketing. In a friendly atmosphere, current academic thoughts and ideas will be discussed and exchanged by insurance marketing experts with the aim of advancing quality research in this sector.

Following three very successful conferences in Paris, France (2015, 2016) and St. Gallen, Switzerland (2017), we are looking forward to welcoming you in Bournemouth on September 13th and 14th, 2018.

The Association for Insurance Marketing (AIM) invites you to submit a paper for presentation at the 4th International Conference for Marketing in the Insurance industry (ICMI) held at Bournemouth University, England. The Association welcomes conceptual and/or empirical research papers on topics in insurance marketing.

Best papers from the Conference will be invited to submit a full paper to be considered for publication in the International Journal of Bank Marketing or the Service Industries Journal.

Contributions may touch upon one of the following insurance marketing topics (but are not limited to):

    • Interaction behaviour and strategies
    • Data sharing
    • Multi- and omni-channel management
    • Trends in consumer behaviour
    • Branding
    • Trust
    • E-insurance and digitization
    • Apps and Social Media
    • (Dis-) Intermediation: The new role of agencies and brokers
    • The relationship between actuarial sciences and marketing
    • Smart data for marketing and strategy and its application for insurance
    • Loyalty and customer satisfaction
    • Gamification
    • Innovative value proposition
    • Customer lifetime value
    • Emergence of multifaceted customer journeys
    • Cross-cultural differences of consumer behaviour
    • The role of insurtechs
    • Customer Experience

You are kindly invited to submit your contribution, an extended abstract (maximum 2000 words) or a full paper (max 5000 words), in English by August 1st   2018.

Authors submitting an extended abstract should provide an introduction, purpose of the study, theoretical foundations, methodology, findings, discussion, conclusion, potential contributions to the field and references.

Submissions should not already be published in any journal or publication (including online journals, books and book chapters). Authors will be notified of acceptance/rejection decision by August 20th 2018.

At least one of the authors of a paper should register for ICMI 2018 and present the contribution in a competitive paper session.Registration will open on: July 2nd 2018.
