SERVSIG<\/strong>\u00a0and the University of Porto<\/strong>\u00a0are proud to announce the winner of the inaugural\u00a0Emerging Service Scholar Award 2019<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/strong>The\u00a0award recognizes contributions to advancing the study of service\u00a0research\u00a0and will be given annually to honor the contributions of a researcher in the earlier stages of his or her academic career.\u00a0The award is given annually and is presented at the Frontiers in Services Conference.\u00a0The award includes a cash prize and is sponsored by the University of Porto.<\/p>\n

SERVSIG thanks the following committee members for their commitment and their work:<\/p>\n

Every year, the SERVSIG Board invites new volunteers to serve on the various awards committees. In the true SERVSIG spirit of inclusion, the SERVSIG Board members invite SERVSIG community members to serve and follow the defined award procedures (making sure to have representatives from various universities, continents, expertise, etc.). Based on the received proposals from the community and a defined procedure the award committee members chose the recipient. \u00a0They subsequently inform the SERVSIG board and the results are shared at the Frontiers in Service Conference.\u00a0The past year’s winners and the followed procedures can be checked out here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Recipients of the\u00a0SERVSIG Emerging Service Scholar Award<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0should have their doctoral degree up to 10 years prior to the year of the award or be nominated for the award in the last two years. Other eligibility issues:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Candidates for\u00a0a SERVSIG\u00a0Award do not have to be a member of SERVSIG or the AMA to be eligible to win.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Candidates may be from anywhere in the world. From the beginning, SERVSIG has sought to be globally oriented and globally active.<\/p>\n
