{"id":7988,"date":"2019-03-20T23:29:22","date_gmt":"2019-03-21T03:29:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.servsig.org\/wordpress\/?p=7988"},"modified":"2019-04-01T12:48:26","modified_gmt":"2019-04-01T16:48:26","slug":"nila-armelia-windasari-wins-gabelli-scholarship-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.servsig.org\/wordpress\/2019\/03\/nila-armelia-windasari-wins-gabelli-scholarship-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Nila Armelia Windasari wins Gabelli Scholarship 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8018 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.servsig.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/download-144x144.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"144\" height=\"144\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with SERVSIG, Fordham University\u2019s Gabelli School of Business launched a travel scholarship program in 2018 to provide financial support to a junior faculty\/PhD student from a developing country to attend the Frontiers in Service Conference.<\/p>\n<p>This year, around 20 applications have been received, and after a careful evaluation of each application by a panel of three judges led by Sertan Kabadayi, a winner has been named:<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-8020 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.servsig.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Picture1-220x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.servsig.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Picture1-220x300.png 220w, https:\/\/www.servsig.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Picture1.png 333w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 220px) 100vw, 220px\" \/>Dr. Nila Windasari<\/strong> at the School of Business and Management, Bandung Institute\u00a0of Technology (Indonesia).<\/p>\n<p>Nila Armelia Windasari (Nila) received her PhD in Service Science from\u00a0the Institute of Service Science, National Tsing Hua University &#8211; Taiwan in 2018.\u00a0 Nila became a mom during her PhD study in 2015 and raised her daughter with her husband, also a\u00a0PhD student in Microelectronics.\u00a0Nila has been awarded as HICSS Doctoral Fellow on 2017, and received Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society Award for her academic excellence upon graduation.<\/p>\n<p>Her dissertation on Continuous Use of Technology-enabled Service for Wellbeing\u00a0was awarded as the Best\u00a0PhD Dissertation by Service Science Society (s3tw) Academic Research Award on\u00a02018.<\/p>\n<p>Nila went back to serve her home country, Indonesia, and currently is a Junior Faculty Member in\u00a0Business Strategy and Marketing interest group at School of Business and Management (SBM) &#8211; Bandung Institute of Technology.<\/p>\n<p>Her research interests lie in the broad areas of technology-enabled service, service marketing, and service design, to explore how individuals experience a technology to improve his\/her wellbeing and\u00a0co-create value with other actors. She enjoyed doing research particularly in the emerging service phenomena, such as transformative service research, health promotion, and digital business.<\/p>\n<p>She will present her paper titled \u201cImproving wellbeing through technology-mediated crowdfunding platform: Value congruence as the main concept of transformative service research\u201d at the Frontiers conference in Singapore this July.<\/p>\n<p>This travel scholarship program will continue next year.
