The Colloquium theme is Relationship Marketing: Back to the Roots and into the Future.

ABOUT ICRM

The ICRM colloquium was originally conceived as an on-going forum for creating new knowledge and circulating viewpoints which challenge established marketing management theory and practices. David Ballantyne, the first convenor, had the vision of a Colloquium which went beyond the bounds of a small and friendly conference to one which would expand and sustain a community of researchers, allow sufficient time for dialogue among those researchers, and provide access to academic journals for publishing the Colloquia papers. Networks and dialogue remain essential elements of the Colloquium.

ICRM 2015 AT HANKEN SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS, FINLAND

In 2015, we take the ICRM colloquium back to its roots, highlighting a participatory approach. Towards this end, we will host a series of small group discussions, along with an interactive panel discussion with world-known relationship marketing experts. As special guest, we will have the father of the ICRM colloquium, Professor David Ballantyne from University of Otago. He and a number of distinguished academics will participate in an interactive discussion with the audience. We will also run a series of workshops aiming at co-authored articles.

ICRM CONFERENCE THEMES

The conference will highlight the latest thinking in relationship marketing, but also question the role of relationship marketing in contemporary marketing. What do we know, what do we not know, where do we come from, and where should we go from here?

A Critical Eye on the Phenomenon of Relationships

The nature and role of relationships and relationship marketing

Logics and mental models

Customer perspectives on relationships

Service in relationship marketing

Methodologies for studying relationships

Relationship marketing in contemporary business

Future and emerging topics in relationship marketing

Relationship Management

Return on Relationships (profitability)

Relationship productivity

Relationship sales

Initiation, maintenance and dissolution of relationships

Relationship communication

Networks and many-to-many relationships

Dark side of relationships

Other Relationship Themes and Aspects

Diagnosing relationships in different contexts

Digital and community relationships

Brand relationships

Sustainability and ethics

Emotions in relationships

Relationship dynamics

Other relevant themes

PAPER SUBMISSION

Submissions are to be no more than 2500 words (Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, 1.5 spaced)

Papers to be submitted by the 15th of March, 2015

Feedback and notification of acceptance by 4th of May, 2015

Submission of final, updated paper by 1st of August, 2015

All submitted papers will be considered for inclusion in the colloquium by the conference chairs and the academic committee.

Information about paper submission and special issues, see www.icrm2015.fi

PRELIMINARY PROGRAMME

The conference will be held on 15-17 September, 2015 at HANKEN School of Economics in Helsinki, Finland.

15th of September, reception and registration at 6 p.m.

16th of September, full-day colloquium, Gala Dinner

17th of September, full-day colloquium, ends by 5.30 p.m., optional evening programme

ORGANIZING COMMITTEE

Colloquium chairs

Johanna Gummerus, Assistant Professor, Hanken School of Economics

Christian Grönroos, Professor Emeritus, Hanken School of Economics

Scientific committee

Kristina Heinonen, Professor, Hanken School of Economics

Anu Helkkula, Assistant Professor, Hanken School of Economics

Catharina von Koskull, Ph.D., Hanken School of Economics

Christian Kowalkowski, Assistant Professor, Linköping University

Karl-Jacob Mickelsson, Ph.D., Hanken School of Economics

Tore Strandvik, Professor, Hanken School of Economics

Contacts

icrm@hanken.fi

www.icrm2015.fi

CERS Centre for Relationship Marketing and Service Management Department of Marketing
Hanken School of Economics
Arkadiankatu 22
00101 Helsinki
Finland

The 2015 Colloquium is being hosted by CERS Centre for Relationship Marketing and Service Management and the Department of Marketing, HANKEN School of Economics 15-17 September 2015 in Helsinki, Finland.
