The 25th<\/sup> Annual International Vincentian Business Ethics Conference offers a great opportunity to provide insight and guidance for innovative solutions to business and society\u2019s most pressing problems.\u00a0 We encourage proposals from academics, business professionals and young scholars from all business disciplines and industries that demonstrate how transformative service can help address the Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the United Nations.<\/p>\n

The Center for Global Business Stewardship at St. John’s University will host the 25th Anniversary “International Vincentian Business Ethics Conference” (IVBEC) in the vibrant hub of New York City.\u00a0<\/span>As we race toward a 2030 deadline to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we focus the theme of the conference on how progress and prosperity in business are achieved in the context of a sustainable future for the planet and all who inhabit it. With research, practice, and educators attending to the responsible management of business, the conference will feature work that highlights the progress made in achieving global development goals and the challenges that remain in institutionalizing them.<\/p>\n

The conference will be held 25th-27th October 2018 in New York City at St. John\u2019s University.\u00a0 Abstracts Submission Deadline: April 1, 2018. Don’t miss this awesome event.<\/p>\n

We encourage proposals from academics, business professionals and young scholars that relate to the role that ethical business plays in the implementation and integration of the SDGs in the organizational ethos, and that move us toward a better understanding of targets, measurement and ethical adjustment in our policies and processes.<\/p>\n

We require a one to three-page proposal (Word or PDF formats) for one of the following:
\nan empirical, theoretical or pedagogical research paper, including meta-analytic approaches to understanding knowledge in the field
\na practical case study
\nan emerging approach to bringing business ethics and the SDGs into the classroom
\na panel session of business and\/or academic leaders discussing relevant opportunities and challenges<\/p>\n

All submissions must indicate whether they are \u201cAbstract only\u201d, or \u201cFull\u201d papers, i.e., with an intention to submit a full paper to be considered for the \u201cPatrick Primeaux Best Paper Award\u201d by the designated deadline. Final proposals for inclusion in the conference will be selected through a blind referee process based on the quality of the submission and its relation to the theme of the conference.<\/p>\n

IMPORTANT: In order to be considered for the award, FULL papers must be submitted by August 1st, 2018<\/p>\n
