Aim of Workshop:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"imagesThe aim of this workshop is convene an interdisciplinary workshop on aging and consumption, with the secondary aim of establishing and developing an international collaborative research collaboration between the ISS21 research cluster on Ageing (ISS21A) and colleagues in the area of service and consumer research, gerontology, sociology, medical and health sciences, information systems and other related disciplines. This will be the first step in exploring potential synergies across the groups involved, with the aim of developing joint research proposals and projects to be submitted, in the medium and long term, to national funders, across the jurisdictions involved, as well as to international funders such as H2020 (i.e. under the Health, Demographic, Change and Wellbeing societal challenge).<\/p>\n

Key objectives and deliverable:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The specific objectives of the workshop are to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Provide an overview of elderly consumption ensembles (ECEs) (Barnhart and Pen\u0303aloza 2012), comprising family, friends, and external caregivers, from the coauthor of the concept, Professor Lisa Penaloza Kedge Business School, Bordeaux, France<\/li>\n
  • Explore synergies within the group members interested in joining the collaboration in relation to the workshop theme – Elderly Consumption Ensembles, Servicescapes and Cultures of Care \u2013 An International Comparative Study of Experiences of Eldercare Consumption, Service Provision and Policy Recommendations. Workshop members will be invited in advance to reflect on the theme and how their own research interests, professional and academic expertise might be integrated into the project\/ collaboration scope.<\/li>\n
  • Complete the planning phase for an on-going collaboration and international comparative study in relation to the workshop theme, as well as identification and prioritization of relevant funding calls including the European Research Council (ERC) and Horizon 2020 (i.e. under the Health, Demographic, Change and Wellbeing societal challenge).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
