Faculty members are expected to conduct high-quality academic research, publish in the field&#8217;s premier journals, and engage in activities that will promote external fund granting opportunities. The normal teaching load is two courses each semester, covering topics such as <strong>Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Marketing Analytics &amp; Modeling, <\/strong>and<strong> Big Data Marketing.<\/strong> Faculty members are also expected to make significant contributions serving the department, college, university, and profession.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates must possess a doctorate degree in Marketing or closely aligned field from a nationally or internationally recognized university by August 31, 2016, a record of published research in, and current research targeted toward the field&#8217;s premier journals; and strong evidence of effective teaching.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Management &amp; Marketing is part of the AACSB-accredited College of Management, which has been growing rapidly with undergraduate, graduate (e.g., MBA, Professional MBA, and specialized Master programs), and Ph.D. programs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.servsig.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/obama_commencement_university_history_2006_tops.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1863 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/www.servsig.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/obama_commencement_university_history_2006_tops-e1446203551362-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"obama_commencement_university_history_2006_tops\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.servsig.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/obama_commencement_university_history_2006_tops-e1446203551362-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.servsig.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/obama_commencement_university_history_2006_tops-e1446203551362-144x144.jpg 144w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Located on the Boston Harbor in one of the most intellectually rich cities in the United States, the university is recognized nationally as a model of excellence for urban universities.
