Over his career, he made lasting contributions that shaped the services discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.servsig.org\/wordpress\/awards\/christopher-lovelock-career-contributions-award\/\">\u201cChristopher Lovelock Career Contributions to the Services Discipline Award\u201d<\/a><\/em>\u00a0 is presented annually by SERVSIG to the individual\u00a0whose teaching, research and service have had the greatest long-term impact on the development of the services discipline.\u00a0<br \/>To be eligible for this award, candidates must meet the following criteria:<br \/>1) Career contributions should be of long duration, preferably 20 years or longer,<br \/>2) Contributions to the services discipline should be significant,<br \/>3) Contributions to the services discipline should be frequent, and<br \/>4) Contributions to the services discipline should include recent contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOMINATIONS:<\/strong><br \/>The nomination for a candidate for the award should include:<br \/>\u2013&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Only one nomination letter<\/strong>, no longer than double-spaced four pages signed by those who support the nomination (self-nominations are&nbsp;not&nbsp;eligible).<br \/>\u2013 A current vita for the nominated scholar or a web link to an online vita.<br \/>All material needs to be submitted electronically to the selection committee chair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong><br \/>\u2013 Candidates for a SERVSIG Award do not have to be a member of SERVSIG or the AMA to be eligible for the award.<br \/>\u2013 Candidates may be from anywhere in the world. Since its inception SERVSIG has sought to be globally oriented and globally active.<br \/>\u2013 Candidates for the awards do not have to be academics. SERVSIG recognizes the vital link between academia and business practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>COMMITTEE:<\/strong><br \/>Each year, the SERVSIG board appoints an award committee composed of scholars from diverse geographical regions, genders, and institutional affiliations to ensure an inclusive perspective in the selection. Both the SERVSIG board and the award committee actively solicit nominations from the global service research community, widely sharing the call for nominations through social media and SERVSIG&#8217;s own channels. The committee is responsible for selecting the award recipient, with decisions based on criteria such as sustained career in service research, the significance of contributions to service research, significance of engagement in the service research community, as well the frequency and recency of research output.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SERVSIG would like to thank the following members for their willingness to serve on this year\u2019s selection committee:<br \/>&#8211; Dwayne Gremler (USA) \u2014 co-chair<br \/>&#8211; Ko de Ruyter (UK) \u2014 co-chair<br \/>&#8211; Suvi Nenonen (Sweden)<br \/>&#8211; Nancy Wunderlich (Germany)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like to nominate someone for this award, please email your nomination letter to SERVSIG co-chair <a href=\"mailto:kristina.heinonen@hanken.fi\">Kristina Heinonen<\/a> no later than <strong>January 31, 2026<\/strong>.
