I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing Jay the best of luck in his future endeavours.

After having worked with Jay for over 2 years, I can honestly say that he is a very kind and extremely hardworking man. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with him.

During Jay’s 14-year editorship, Jay has brought his personal touch to every communication he has with authors which is a reason so many authors wish to work with Jay. He also extends this generosity by running the International Research Symposium in Service Management (IRSSM) every year to offer mentorship and support to scholars.

Jay has also developed a solid editorial structure, employing Expert Research Panels for various service disciplines. This allows JOSM to give authors feedback from the very best experts and, thanks to Jay’s efficiency, this is always done in excellent time.

I also need to mention JOSM’s Impact Factor and CiteScore which, thanks to Jay’s leadership, are currently at 7.8 and 19.2, respectively.

Jay has transformed JOSM, and it will be very difficult to find someone with as much dedication to the journal.

However, looking to the future, I would now like to say that we are welcoming expressions of interest to step into Jay’s shoes and become the new editor of Journal of Service Management.

If you are interested in this role, please can you kindly send me and Jay an expression of interest of no more than 1 page containing the following information:
1. Your previous editorial experience.
2. Your plans for JOSM’s development.
3. How this role would fit in with your existing work requirements.

Please send these expressions of interest by Friday 13th December 11:59pm (GMT).
