California State University, Fullerton in sunny beautiful Orange County is hiring a tenure\u2010track Assistant Professor position in Entertainment and Hospitality Management with appointment to begin Fall 2022. Located minutes from Southern California beaches and Disneyland, this position is in the Department of Management. The Department of Management is the largest and most research productive group of management faculty in the entire CSU system. We have 27 tenured and tenure-track faculty, several full-time lecturers and over 50 part-time faculty.  It is within the College of Business and Economics (CBE), the largest AACSB\u2013accredited business school on the West Coast, with over 23,000 students earning bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degrees during the past decade which prepare them for success in the workplace. The College also benefits from its dynamic location in California, the fifth\u2013largest economy in the world, and in Orange County, one of the largest, most diverse economies in the country. The immense presence of CBE in the region has strong links to the economic progress of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cal State Fullerton is the largest campus in the California State University system. Standing on 241 acres in the heart of Southern California, Cal State Fullerton is a large, comprehensive, urban university with more than 41,000 students and 4,127 full\u2013and part\u2013time faculty and staff members. The university combines the best qualities of teaching and research universities, with actively engaged students, faculty, and staff working in close collaboration to expand knowledge. In fall of 2020, U.S. News & World Report<\/em> ranked CSUF fourth among regional public universities in the West. In addition, Cal State Fullerton is number one in the CSU and number one in California among public universities in the number of bachelor\u2019s degrees awarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to the Fall 2022 semester, candidates should complete all requirements for a Ph.D. in management, hospitality management, service management, sports management, entertainment (media, music, etc.) or equivalent, from an accredited institution. The primary responsibilities of the person in this position will include the development and teaching of introductory and core courses in Entertainment and Hospitality Management. Specific courses may include Entertainment Business, Entertainment Money Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, or Entertainment Operations. Required qualifications include:
\u00b7         Demonstrated experience in entertainment and\/or hospitality management such as teaching, research, and working in industry
\u00b7         Demonstrated evidence of or potential for publications in high quality journals
\u00b7         Demonstrated commitment to and excellence in teaching
\u00b7         Demonstrated ability to balance excellent teaching, scholarship, and service
\u00b7         Demonstrated potential for effective integration of technology into instruction
\u00b7         Ability and commitment to work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, staff, and faculty <\/p>\n\n\n\n
