The 5th annual Organizational Frontline Research (OFR) Symposium took place in Austin, TX on February 21-22, 2019. The aim of the OFR Symposium is to bring together a group of scholars and a selected managers who are interested in organizational frontline research. This year’s symposium paid special attention to digital interfaces in the frontline, with keynotes of IBM and Dell and a practitioner panel featuring practitioners from, among others, SAP, Fujitsu and UPS. Other highlights were the academic panel session “AI in Frontline Interactions” lead by Roland Rust, and presentations of academic speakers including Lisa Scheer, Martin Mende, Dwayne Gremler, Clay Voorhees, and Peter Verhoef, among others. Participants also enjoyed the boat cruise with dinner on the Colorado River.
