The Executive Committee of the Council for Australasian Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAUTHE) is seeking an Associate Editor for its official journal, the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management (JHTM), published and distributed by Elsevier. CAUTHE is calling for expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced colleagues. We are particularly interested in those with research experience in the area of hospitality management.
The journal has been in existence for over 20 years and is published online. Output from June 2016 to June 2017 was 80 papers. The CAUTHE Executive is keen to continue publishing around the same number of papers per year but with increased quality over time, with a view to an Impact Factor application. It is also the aim of CAUTHE to attract submissions from a wider international scholar audience beyond the Australasia region. The journal was ranked as B in the ABDC 2013 journal quality guide. It was ranked18th from 54 tourism and hospitality journals based on an influence ratio, determined by its share of citations based on the share of published papers (McKercher 2012).
The journal is committed to a broad range of topics including tourism and travel management, hospitality management, leisure and recreation studies and event management. It contains both theoretical and applied research papers and encourages the submission of the results of collaborative research undertaken between academia and industry. The journal is keen to promote interdisciplinary papers that are theoretically informed and that can contribute to improving practice.

- Approach to achieve the vision
